Finally...an intro
Well, it's about time.
I am definitely the king of procrastination, putting off things I have to do until the last minute. But it's really bad when you put off things you WANT to do. Like starting to write in my very own blog. I've had this site for about two and a half months now, so it's time I put it to use.
I guess it would be appropriate to start by telling a little about myself. Most of my readers will likely already know who I am, as my main reason for starting this blog is just to allow everyone to keep up with what I'm doing, view pictures I post, etc. But I may be a stranger to some readers, so here goes:
I'm a 37-year-old man and am recently divorced. Well...no that's wrong. I'm actually not divorced yet. But I'm working on it. I'm sure there will be plenty to post on that topic later.
I was married for 17 years, and I have four children who I love very much. If there were any way for me to shield them from the trauma of the divorce, I would. In fact, I did for 17 years. I always thought I'd sacrifice myself before putting them through that. I was wrong. And the whole thing has been much worse than I ever imagined.
Things are not too gloomy, though. I'm living in a new city (hence, the name of this blog), Chattanooga, the scenic city, and I'm loving it here. I have a best friend and a family who loves me. I've got a great job that keeps me only moderately poor. And I have a future that I intend to make the most of.
I'm interested in most things spiritual. I love music, especially bluesy, folksy rock music. I love to eat good food. I've always dreamed of being a writer, but have never been one. I LOVE watching people. I find them fascinating. So given all that, North Chattanooga seems to be a great place to live. Now I just have to find the time to write about it! But right now, I’m goin’ downtown.
