Happy Halloween?
At least my pumpkin is happy. There are plenty of things for me to be happy about, too. And I am. But there was an element of disappointment and sadness in my holiday yesterday. And throughout the day today.Not a positive word to be heard from my kids. The only response I've had was from Jordan (17 yr-old):
"Please quit sending me emails. I have only replied when you asked for it,
but there is nothing for you to be emailing about that I want to know. Just
let me be."
This was in response to a picture of his cousin that I emailed to him. It's frustrating, but I am not ready to give up hope yet. I guess I just need to give them time and space. At the same time, I don't want them to think I've just decided to go on contentedly without them. So I won't. "Patience and persistence" is going to be my motto. I'll just keep knocking at the door until someone answers.
On a positive note, last night's plate full of arkahnay noodle and a couple hours with my sweetie was enough to put on a Thai Smile!

Even though it's hard for me to believe now, when I was seventeen I talked to my parents this way. It will pass. Lovingly persist.

Thanks, Josh. It's nice to have encouraging real-life experiences to draw strength from.

I love your photos of TN. Especially the river, lake and barn. I'm a little concerned, though, about your drive by photography! But it was a cool shot!
Speaking of the Harley guys, I photographed a Bikers Rally once and even received a Biker's Bible! A couple of guys were talking one on one with the fellows! Still have that bible! :)
